Hi I was very surprised my colleague's story and I realised that ample facilities in schools can lead to academic success. Kindly take your time and read what he narrated to me. "Being brought up in a primary school in a local village, I couldn’t catch up with the mighty. The well-endowed were able to access very expensive facilities and had no reason to fail in examinations. Four months to the end of year national examinations, I always panicked with fear gripping so hard in my spine. The end was to be justified and the means was the examinations. It was very demotivating for us to compete and do the same examination with someone with full laden schools. After doing the mock examinations, our school was a distant last. During the county prize giving day, our school was a laughing stock. We couldn’t dare stare at the trophies and the certificates of excellence as we were to receive none. A well-endowed school scooped all the awards while shamelessly we went home with none. Our teachers were in deep grief and sorrow. They knew too well lack of teaching equipment and facilities limited our success. That evening I felt so much drained of energy and couldn’t find the importance of learning anymore. The following day we all agreed not to report to school as it was very discouraging. It took the intervention of our teachers to call us back to school. It even attracted the attention of the well-wishers who bought us equipment and renovated facilities to ease our learning. Since then, our performance rose exponentially and never went back to failing days."

Wow! I can't stop reading this. A forum such as this is very vital for sharing of different experiences we go through in our upbringing especially in our primary schools. Some schools are well endowed with facilities than others. The performance in schools is proportional with the facilities in that school. Facilities give a learner enough confidence and a good environment to interact with many samples in teaching and learning process. In the process, the learner improves his or her performance.

It's better to smile and everything in your life will be, though a little better! I wish you well. Good luck!
