My name is Tim and I am a new member in this forum. I will highly appreciate to share more with you. After a series of intercourse, just about fourteen days from my last intercourse, I started feeling pain just below my abdomen. The painful sensation was so much overwhelming that while urinating I had to shed tears. Unlike my normal smooth flow of my periods, I started witnessing heaving and spotting menses. My throat at the time started to become sore and even thought it was a cold infection. I immediately sought doctor’s attention but before then, I decided to buy over the counter painkillers. Just after two days, I started experiencing lower abdominal sharp pain. I could not engage in sexual intercourse as the pain was unbearable. I also had to just sit or stand just by the washrooms as the urge to urinate was so high. Seeking the doctor’s prescription and diagnosis nothing seemed to bear fruits. The doctor instead decided to draw a sample of blood to do the sample test. After the test, the medic found a myriad of gonorrhea bacterial infections. This scared me to death. But as a sense of courage, the doctor gave me an oral injection that healed the disease completely. After healing and taking a bedrest for a whopping thirty days, I had intercourse never felt a tinge of pain like before.

Welcome, Tim to this forum. The best step you took is seeking medical attention to heal your condition. Gonorrhoea does not only affect the reproductive tract but also the mucous membrane of the mouth, throat eyes and the rectum. Otherwise, you have helped many who may be suffering from the condition.

I have learnt a lot from this forum. I am very motivated and able to understand well the various causes of gonorrhoea. Over the years people have theorised the causes of gonorrhoea but your experience is an eye-opener to many and very knowledgeable. What's more, it also gives us hope and strength to conduct more research about gonorrhoea.
