My name is Ter and I am a new member in this forum. I will highly appreciate to share more with you. I never thought the lack of immunization to a pregnant mother can bring problems later in my life. Though not infective to the new born baby, it really messed with my life. I was only living for that present life only and never thought of living beyond today. Whooping cough decided to habit in my body and couldn’t get an instant solution to the problem. Before pregnancy, a mother should always get a vaccine to protect the baby after birth. I never had a clue of such. So, I decided to visit the medical officer for further directions. I was pregnant at this time and didn’t take a vaccine before conceiving. It was a time of sorrow in my heart and never had an iota of an idea of what I should do next. What gave me motivation and a new lease of life were the fact that it is not transferrable to the unborn baby. Immunity also was not permuted to the baby and so I felt happy and joyous. When I gave birth to my queen, I was over the moon and got a relief. I delivered well without any complications. Immediately at the end of the two months after delivery, my baby was immunized from a whooping cough. I now live a happy mommy.

I am really feeling so excited from what I can read in this confession. To fall sick and again regain your health is something to celebrate about. A whooping cough is a bacterial disease caused by the bacteria Bordetella pertussis. It is neither restricted to children only. It is always advisable to visit the doctor or your preferred physician once you experience such.
