My name is Ter and I am a new member in this forum. I will highly appreciate to share more with you. Still, at my tender age, I incidentally got pregnant. As time passed by, complications started developing in my legs. They started becoming swollen and tender. My movement was limited and couldn’t make any progress. When the first trimester clicked, I decided to visit the medic. Unknown to me, I was advised to stop standing for long periods of time. On adhering to that the next thing that I later learnt was against the health issues of pregnancy was crossing my legs. I did it without my knowledge and it is only after the conditions worsened I visited the medic again. I started doing regular exercises like I was advised to do. The reddening in my legs eased and I had to get back to normal again. Thinking that the problems had ended, the problem recurred again. This time, I wasn’t used to resting my feet at a higher level than the rest of my body. On visiting the medic again, I was given a free lesson for exercises. It was a bit hard for me as the veins in my legs had swollen. Through regular exercises, the varicose veins stopped hurting and they disappeared completely.

That is very motivating. I really enjoy reading this as I also have been experiencing the same. Actually varicose veins in pregnancy occur as a result of the growth of the uterus which puts a lot of pressure on the large veins on the right side of the body. This creates more pressure on the leg veins making them protrude. Am glad that you are now very much ok.

Hello Ter. It sure sounds troubling. I hope your problems ended. Are you still pregnant? Is the problem still persisting? Have you considered getting a treatment for varicose veins? There is a new treatment gaining popularity. IPL therapy for varicose veins.

Hi Ted. I hope you are doing fine now. I think you made a right decision that you visited the doctor. The doctors can give you the best advice. I have never experienced pregnancy. However, I think exercise is good even in the pregnancy. When is your baby due? I wish you luck for your pregnancy.

Hey Tim! Thank GOD your pain is over after all. Consulting the doctor always at the right time is the best thing to do. If you did not take care of your matter then it might have created a lot of problem for you. I am so glad that your tumor was removed and you have a family.
