I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to talk about a few things on this forum. I feel like there is a general misconception that people like me had a choice to choose surrogacy. I just want to clarify that it is not a choice but a treatment that you have to go through. When I was diagnosed with a poor ovarian reserve for several years I tried! I tried various treatments but nothing worked for me. However, surrogacy is the one process that is actually working. The huge credit for this goes to the clinic for sure!

Hello. I agree with you. Thanks for clearing this up here. Surrogacy is more like the last option people are left with. For me, IVF or IUI would've been risky. There was a chance for that pregnancy to end in a miscarriage. So surrogacy was my last option really. But I'm glad it worked out for me. I have a son now.

It is like the last resort and everyone is praying that it works. I am glad it worked for you. I hope it works for me as well. I am a little nervous but the clinic is doing an exceptional job. Hoping for the best.

Hey Monika! Welcome to the forum. Yup, Surrogacy is helping a lot of those people who can't carry their own baby or make it work on their own. It's a blessing that we have such treatments now. We are lucky tbvh. I m also going for surrogacy hopefully it will work for me. Good luck to you too.

even I have noticed this confusion. Although it is amazing how thesw days soo many treatments are available. However, every treatment is for a different person. It really depends on one's condition. Therefore, I believe it is soo important to visit the RE first. Often time we plan everything about. However, the doctor has a completely different thing to say. Another really important thing is visiting a good doctor. This again matters a lot. The clinic and the doctor you will visit will have a huge impact on your procedure. This I am saying from my own personal experience as well. So far things are going amazing for us. The main reason for that is experienced doctor. Thus research and take your time in such situations. Sending baby dust your way.

well, there is also a choice between surrogacy and adoption. but in reality, adoption is too long to wait for and for someone like us it is almost unachievable. the government would want to make sure we are able to provide our child with all the best right now, but we are only halfway there. this is why we have chosen surrogacy, so we have more time to save money and prepare our house for the newborn. And this is why we have signed with wcob in Ukraine.

Hi there, Monika. I completely agree with you. Surrogacy is a beautiful procedure which is helping couples have biological children throughout the world. I think that it's amazing. Instead of crying over infertility, one should opt for the surrogacy process. Thanks to modernization, the infertile don't have to feel ashamed of their infertility. Surrogacy is trending nowadays and has a high success rate. A lot of clinics all over the world are introducing it. The success of the procedure definitely depends on the expertise of the clinic you're going to. The choice of the clinic is the initial step and the most important one! I believe that there should be an awareness of such methods. I wish that no one ever has to suffer the phase of infertility. This misconception has to end. I hope that it does. Sending good thought to everyone reading this!

Thank you for this post. It is very true that many have this confusion. However, in reality, things are different. I guess this is the reason why its so important to research. We should always be careful about the clinic we opt for. However, should also be aware of the treatments. Good luck to all.

A little update on my process. The clinic previously invited us for sperm retrieval. Things went extremely smoothly. Now we are again being invited to meet the surrogate. I am really excited about this moment. It is something I have been waiting for! I am a little nervous but the manager will be there with us. Also, since the clinic is extremely friendly and nice I am sure so will be the surrogate mother.

I fully agree with your post. Even in our case, we didn't have a choice. In fact, it was the only last hope that we had. We were no longer a candidate for IVF. It is true that many people think that there exists a choice but that is not the case. Both the treatments are different. It really depends on your condition. Thanks to the clinic that I am visiting that they helped me through it.
