Hi there. I am 41 weeks pregnant. This is a post IUI pregnancy. I conceived after 3 years of trying. So this will be my miracle baby. I just want to make sure everything goes smoothly. The doctor has said that I will be induced next week if I don't go into labour till then. Is that safe? Wouldn't waiting be better? Why is she thinking of inducing me artificially? Will this affect the baby's heath and development? I would love to know your experiences. Yes, I have asked the doctor too. All she said was that it is the normal protocol. I am asking here in hopes of some more details. Thanks in advance.

Hey, Juliet, I think you're just overthinking. Things will completely go alright. Read all the comments everyone one will say its fine. Doctors really know what's going on. Apart from this, I am so happy for you. I am glad IUI worked. You're an over a week due I believe that is the reason for the doctor to take this step. Good luck.

You have come a far away. So don't worry I am sure everything will go perfectly. Doctors know what they are doing and they should be allowed to do that. On the hand, you should just stay calm. Good luck to you. I am happy that you are pregnant. I hope things go smoothly. Do keep us updated.

Hey. Doctors know what they are doing. Don't worry. There are some cases where labour is artificial and that's okay. The baby will be healthy. It almost never affects the baby's health. I hope things go well. Do share your paranoia about this with your doctor though. Don't hide anything you feel about this.

I think at this time it is important to induce. You are way ahead of your due date. I hope things go smoothly. I am glad that IUI worked for you. Just stay positive and strong. This won't have any impact on your child so don't worry. I think it is very important to listen to the doctors. They know more than us.

They have been working really hard to ensure that things work. I am hoping for the best. One should never lose hope.
