Hello! My name is Lorena. I am 35 years old and I am trying to conceive. I have diabetes and I can't stop wondering does diabetes have some impact on fertility. I am tryibg to get pregnant for almost two years. I was talking to my husband and we are going to the doctor to see what is the problem. I am thinking about it a lot. Trying to find a reason that keeps me away from my goal.

There is a connection with diabetes and infertility. Diabetes alone does not keep you from getting pregnant, but it oftentimes keeps women from staying pregnant. Diabetes is causing a miscarriage in many cases. An increased risk of gestational diabetes in the mother can cause other health concerns for both mother and baby. I don't want to scare you. You still can have a healthy pregnancy and delivery. It's important to watch your diabetes. You must watch for a diet more then now. You must prepare your body ahead. Before you get pregnant you have to do everything to control your diabetes.

Hi! I understand how you feel. My sister is fighting with diabetes. It is hard battle but you can win. Type I is the most dangerous type of diabetes to have for both mother and child. Type II diabetes can be controlled and side effects limited, making a pregnancy safer. You have to control your daily sugar levels for 3-6 months to give your body the chance to prepare for a pregnancy. Don't give from pregnancy. Learn as much you can about your condition. You can get through this.

I have diabetes type II. I believe that puts me in better position. I will see what will my doctor tell me. I hope that my child will not have problems with diabetes.

Hello! I know that diabetes has some impact on fertility. I don't know how great impact but I am sure that this something that you can control. Ask your doctor all about your condition. Learn as much you can about you issue. Diabetes is treatable and I am sure you can have a healthy pregnancy. Also, you can have a healthy baby if you watch closely your diabetes. You must listen to your doctors. And, what is more important, listen to your body.

Hello. Sorry to hear about your struggle with diabetes. Oh, and fertility too. I think there could be a connection. But diabetes alone does not have that big an impact. Is this your first time? Have you ever had any kids before this? I think you should see a doctor about this. There could be something else that's stopping you from getting pregnant. Get some fertility tests done. Make sure your husband takes them too. Two years is a long time. It's about time you get this checked. It's better to see an expert about this. If you want fertility clinic recommendations, I would be happy to help. I hope you have a baby soon. Good luck.

Hi there! I am so sorry to hear about your diabetes Lorena. Yes, it can affect your baby as well. I think you should take care of it before you conceive. It's a 50 50 chance, so ask your doctor maybe. Good luck!

Hey Lorena! I hope you are doing well. It's better to go for Surrogacy tbh. Diabetes can really have a bad impact on your baby. It can even be a risky thing for you as well. Just talk to the doctor and see what he says. Good luck.

If you have been trying for 2 years then visiting a doctor is very important. I believe you should start with a process soon. This is mainly because it's always better than late. Other than this make sure the doctor you visit is operating at a high success rate. Good luck to you. I hope things go well. Sending baby dust your way. I am not sure if this would be a cause or some other reason. I would advise you to visit a good doctor and get your tests done. They will help in determining what might be the issue. Dont delay the visit. The earlier you go the better it will be. also, make sure that the doctor you are visiting is experienced and knows what he or she is doing. This is from my own personal experience. Good luck to you.

If you have been trying for 2 years then I would say you should visit the doctor. The more early you visit the better it is. The clinic you visit plays a huge impact on the progress. Therefore, make sure to visit the right clinic. I am speaking from my own experience. The clinic I was visiting previously things with them didn't go really well. All my treatments failed. I was on the verge of quitting. However, then I met a friend and she told me to try with another clinic. I switched to a different doctor. Things with them are going really well. They are very smooth with the way they deal. Really hoping for the best. Good luck to you. Sending baby dust your way.
