Hi ladies,
I'm finally going to proceed with egg donation. I have found a clinic that works closely with an egg donation agency/donor egg bank, and they offer a package that comes with 8 fresh donor eggs. In your experience, is that enough? Or should I spring for the whole batch?
It's been a really long road, and DH and I would really like it to work. But we want to be frugal too.

Hi dear. I will share my experience with you all. I was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure last summer. This means I spent the last year going through menopause at 26! My husband and I decided late last year that we are definitely going to be parents, and donor egg IVF is our first stop! We deposited on our Donor in January and will be cycling with her in June. I'm going to be starting my medication on June 1st and hopefully, she will do her retrieval around June 14th, and we can do the procedure around 5 days after! She has done five fresh cycles before us and currently, four of the five have resulted in pregnancy. So my clinic has an 80% success rate with this donor. Everything is coming so quickly. I'm optimistic but I have not done any type of IVF cycles yet, as once I went off my birth control we figured out pretty quickly something was wrong. My period never came back after my birth control, so we were never able to start trying for a baby before my diagnosis. So I'm a first timer here too! I understand it's a very hard pill to swallow hearing you won't have children with your DNA, but I've read a lot about Epigenetics (I urge you to Google this if you're having a hard time accepting the donor egg route.) I will tell you that Lotus Clinic in Ukraine is best in these matters. One of my friends suggested me to go there as she had done her IVF process there and now she is a happy mother. I hope my experience will help someone. Best of luck for all the upcoming mothers on their motherhood. Be safe and stay blessed.

Hello. I think 8 is enough. Hopefully, this would work out for you. Your doctor will most probably suggest transferring two at a time. That should be okay. I hope you get pregnant this way. So glad you are finally doing this. Good luck.

Hi! Donor’s eggs are usually of really high quality and it should not be an issue for at least one to hatch. So 8 is a great number. We, for instance, do not worry about any of it as we’ve settled with surrogacy and egg donation. However, using a lot of eggs may result in many of them hatching and you do not want this. We think about 1 baby or twins - maximum. And do not want to experience any of those horror stories that we’ve read about multiple pregnancies. If you have just 1 baby in the oven that means that he or she will get all of the nutrition there is. And you should also think about yourself. Some things do not work right away. 8 eggs should be enough for that.

Hi Priya! I m glad that you found a good clinic for yourself. The main thing that matters is the quality of the eggs. People can even conceive with less then 8 retrievals if the quality is good. Good luck! Bye!

Hey Priya! I hope you are feeling better now. 8 is a huge number, tbh, so don't worry. It really depends on the quality of the egg. Numbers don't matter much. I hope things work out for you. Good luck.

Hey, Priya I hope you're doing well. I think it really doesn't matter how many eggs are retrieved. However, what matters is the quality of the eggs. I think is a good number. Just make sure the clinic you're visiting for this particular process is doing well. This is something that matters a lot. Good luck to you. I hope things go well.

I think that is more than enough. You only need out of them one good egg. Usually, the eggs that are frozen are the ones that are mature. Therefore, I am sure they would be of good quality. Good luck to you. I hope this process works for you. Make sure to visit a clinic that is experienced with IVF. Sending baby dust your way.

Hey Priya, I hope you are well. I am glad you finally found yourself a clinic. The one I am visiting has a database of DE. From this, the people can choose the donor they want to carry the process out with. They have over 100 plus donors. I am really hoping for the best. Good luck to you. Sending baby dust your way.
