Hi everyone, I am here after some time. I was away, as I had been doing the rounds of my GYN and was shocked to realize that what had haunted my sister for a long time has now stepped its foot in my life too. Infertility! I could have never thought that I was infertile a little while ago when I was accompanying my sister to a fertility specialist. I am just so shocked and depressed. I have what they say blockage in the fallopian tubes and that seem to be the reason for my infertility. This is very difficult for me to cope up with. I am here for support and love from the community and also some good advice and useful tips and suggestions on what I should do further. Is IVF a good choice for this situation?

Hi rita, I feel for you and I knwo it is a devastating thing to discover. infertility is a demon that we need to take down collectively by helping each other out, showing support and love. Thank you for posting you question here. I had been through surrogacy, as I wasn't fortunate enough to carry my own child and thus had to resort to surrogacy using my own eggs. I have come across many women here and other forums, who had a similar issue like yours and had opted for IVF. It seems like IVF was designed for women with this issue as it has been very effective in helping women with bocked tubes, conceive. I hope you too tread on the right path and the IVF treatment brings joy in your life. But for now, I wouldl ike to suggest, you be positive and hopeful. It is not the end of all. Infertility is very hard on us and it is stressful to deal with it, but you need to be strong now. Maintain a healthy lifestyle as good helath is something you need on your side when going through IVF. All the best  |

hey kate, thank you for the support. I know it is important for me to stay focused an positive and strong. As a matter of fact, I have given many other women on this forum advice on infertility treatments, from what I had learned and observed from my sister's struggle with infertility. But now that I am going through all this myself, it seems much difficult to keep a straight mind and think straight. I just had no clue that I would break like this when the time comes. Now, I am looking for clinics, and I want to ask what kind of services or criteria would a good clinic have. And if you do know some good clinics, please suggest. As I had mentioned in one of my previous posts, that I had been to Ukraine, with my sister, but couldn't stay there and thus I don't know about their IVF programs and would like to listen from someone experienced or who knows about them. Another thing I am struggling with is to get my husband and in laws' support in this. They are very upset and just don't seem to be looking ahead and trying to find a solution. I feel terrible when I and my lifestyle is blamed for my infertility. It may even be true, that my lifestyle might have some impact on my health and might also have lead to these issues, but now is not the time and also I have no energy left in me to confront them and beg them to support me through this. What should I do?

I am sorry that you have to go through such problems in your family and it is really a shame for them to blame you. You should not let them bring your hopes down. Do not feel low because of anyone. You have to stay strong and have hopes, do this for the baby you will be welcoming into this world in future. Maybe you should take your husband with you to the fertility clinic, and let him see and understand what you're going through. Or even better, bring him on a forum, where he can read the posts from other women who have been through this and understnad what a woman goes through when she is diagnosed with infertiltiy. His support is very important for you to proceed with your fertility treatment abroad. And about the clinic, yes, I did read your other posts where you had mentioned about travelling to Ukraine. Let me tell you that my surrogacy was done in Ukraine as well. And I believe before choosing the clinic, you should see how the programs in the clnic are structured. Take this clinic where I had been for instance, biotexcom, they offer transportation, food and also arrange the stay. You need to have AMH, FSH, and LH tested and also prove that you can carry a child to be take into the program. I believe this tells a lot about their sophistication and professionalism when it comes to accepting patients in their clinic. I think you should have an intital consultation with their doctor. I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s always upsetting. Now you have to deal with this anyway. As far I know IVF is one of the best or even the only way to handle the issues in your case. Despite the fallopian problem your ovaries must work well. I’ll check out your egg quality during the procedure of IVF. I guess it’s a right choice if you decided and feel confident.
