I am a little confused about the type of surrogacy in which you use donor eggs. How do I find an egg donor for myself?

Hi Claire. This type of surrogacy is only for those women who can’t be stimulated themselves. I suppose you know this already. In such cases, you can either find the donor yourself or ask the clinic to help you in this regard. I would personally recommend the second option. That is because this way the clinic will be responsible for ensuring that the donor is a good match. If you wish to find one yourself, then you can personally ask someone too. Although, for this you need to get clearance from the clinic first. You need to make sure that they are okay with outside donors. Also, make sure you are familiar with the legalities of egg donation and surrogacy in your country. These can lead to complications further down the road. Knowing about them beforehand can help you avoid these complications. I hope this answered your questions. I wish you good luck with your search. I hope things work out for you well.

Hi there Claire. Welcome to this forum. Here you would find many advocates of surrogacy. It is hardly surprising though. Surrogacy really is a great option. It has helped many couples find a solution. A way to start their families. If you are looking for an egg donor it means you can’t be stimulated. In that case, you will need to remember to provide documents stating that. Many clinics demand those. Once you have those, then the clinic can help you acquire an egg donor. Many people even choose to find an egg donor themselves. Both options achieve the same thing. The difference is that letting the clinic do it makes it easier. That’s what I think at least.

Hello. I am happy to see that you are considering surrogacy. I hope it is everything you want it to be. I have heard great things about surrogacy. I have no experience with the type of surrogacy you mentioned though. I know of a friend who went for surrogacy. The difference is that she didn’t need an egg donor. She could be stimulated herself. She did need a surrogate mother. From what she told me, she had an excellent experience with that clinic. If I am not mistaken, she did mention something about egg donors. She mentioned that she was asked if she needed one. She refused the offer, but this makes me believe that the clinic would have helped her out in this regard. So, I’d suggest you ask the clinic you are thinking of going to. Ask them if they will help you find a suitable donor.

Hey. I have had an excellent experience with surrogacy. Which is why I am always pleased to answer questions about it. I hope more couples will opt for this option. I believe it can help so many of them. Now, coming back to your question. Like I said before, I have had surrogacy done. I, like you, required an egg donor. This was because, after my hysterectomy, I couldn’t ovulate myself. The clinic I went to was most helpful in this regard. They provided me a list of possible egg donors. My husband and I were asked to select one of them. That’s what we did. The clinic then contacted that donor and initiated the egg retrieval process. That was it.

Hey Claire! How are you? And you are most welcome on the forum. I think you have taken a very wise decision of asking your queries on this forum. Gestational surrogacy with the egg donor (GSED) is a programme in which surrogate mother carries a pregnancy of another family with a donor egg. If for some reason mother is not producing eggs through stimulation than GSED is an option in which you have to find a donor via your clinic, or you can get frozen eggs from any donor egg bank. Thus, by using the donor eggs and fathers sperm embryo is created. Then there is traditional surrogacy in which surrogate mother is the egg donor also, so it's per your choice that which way you want to go for. However, my advice would be to consult a clinic in Ukraine via email. Your all questions will be answered.

Have you consulted a doctor? Why do you need a donor? I am asking because my sister is planning to go for surrogacy. She has opted for a clinic in Ukraine Kiev. She was diagnosed with a pelvic inflammatory disease. Due to which Hysterectomy and Salpingo-Oophorectomy surgeries were performed. In which her uterus and ovaries were removed leaving her infertile. Due to which she needed an egg donor. Her initial consultation with the doctors went really smooth. Her doctor looked at her test reports. Then they advised her to go traditional surrogacy in which eggs of surrogate mother and husbands sperm are used to make an embryo. You can also get frozen eggs from the clinic. There are many options thus, you may consult first than take a decision. The beat of luck! Hope everything works out for you. And do share your experience with us. Will be waiting to hear back from you.

Hello Clairecalire, The procedure of surrogacy is very simple, my dear. You do not need to worry about anything. I will share my surrogacy experience with you in order to make you understand in a better way. Until last year, I was suffering from ovarian cancer. My both ovaries were removed because cancer has affected my ovaries severely. To add to the miseries, my uterus was also affected. Due to an absence of ovaries, eggs production was discontinued. When I went for surrogacy, I had to go through the donor eggs. The clinic has a wide range of data of donor eggs. In a type of surrogacy with donor eggs, the eggs of some other woman are used. There is nothing wrong with it. The sperms will be of your husband even when you are going for surrogacy through donor eggs. The clinic helps us to choose one. We do not have to choose it ourselves. I hope I have mentioned enough to make you understand clearly.

Hi Clairecalire, The method of surrogacy is exceptionally straightforward. You require not to stress over anything. I will share my surrogacy procedure with you keeping in mind the end goal to improve you comprehend as it were. Until a year ago, I was experiencing ovarian disease. My two ovaries were expelled in light of the fact that cancer has influenced my ovaries extremely. To add to the agonies, my uterus was likewise influenced. As ovaries were not present, eggs creation was ceased. When I went for surrogacy, I needed to experience the donor eggs. The clinic has an extensive variety of information of donor eggs. We were allowed to choose 5 of them. After choosing, the doctor found the best match for us. I am a mother of a baby now. This is the proof that there is nothing wrong with donor eggs. I wish you luck if you wish to go for surrogacy procedure. I hope that God bless you with a baby soon.

Well! There are places like internet and other forums. where you can find egg donor on the internet or a near infertility clinic but, I think its a pretty sensitive issue. So, that's why I don't have confidence in myself to go on it. I had surrogacy in 2015; I saw their many people for egg donations awaiting. I also heard some really good reviews too. I think you should try a clinic for it. Well, the clinic in Ukraine from where I had surrogacy for my son. They had around a thousand egg donors in their database so, they were always able to find a good match for every case particularly. I think you should really try a clinic for it. You can't do everything by yourself.

"I've found this question to be way too common. Well, here it out Y'all, once and for all (just kiddin'). There are three options available to you when it comes to finding an egg donor. One - use the reproduction center's in-house egg donor. Almost all of the clinics have a database of donors. This option is preferred by most of the folks out there. Two - there literally are agencies doin' it. No way! Lastly - you walk into the center hands in hand with a donor. Yay! Lol, this one sounds way too epic, right? Well, it's not that easy handing them over to a donor of your own you know. Why not easy? Firstly, think of someone who you believe will give her eggs so you can make a baby out of it... What or who comes to your mind? There you go. See the answer. Now you must be thinking how can they not... C'mon, don't go all hard on yourself On a serious note, all of the above options are available and in practice. Next question, please "

Hi Claire! It is your right to clear all the queries you have related to surrogacy. Every woman wants to be satisfied with the procedure details so that they feel comfortable and easy to start the process. There are two conditions for you related to egg donation. If you are able to provide eggs then it is great. If you cannot donate eggs you don’t need to worry about that. You will not have to find an egg donor by yourself. The clinic will find the egg donor for you and then the procedure will start. Almost all the clinics provide this facility as they have to check the donor also if she is perfectly healthy or she also has some disease. I hope this information will help you to make a decision soon.

Hey dear. Don’t think too much about surrogacy. It is a process with a lot of benefits. You will be a mother without even bearing the baby in your belly and without knowing the pain because the surrogate mother will do it for you. When it comes to egg donation, the clinic first looks up to you that if you can donate the eggs to your baby. If yes then there is nothing else to do but if not then there will be a need for an egg donor. Don’t worry dear, it is not your headache to find an egg donor. The clinic takes the responsibility to find it for you. So don’t worry and take a chill pill. Let the clinic deal with all the things. You just get consult a clinic and the rest will be their responsibility. Take care.

Greetings Claire! It is your entitlement to clear every one of the inquiries you have identified with surrogacy. There are two conditions for you identified with egg donation. On the off chance that you can give eggs then it is incredible. In the event that you can't give eggs, you don't have to stress over that. You won't need to discover any egg donor without anyone else. The center will discover the egg giver for you and afterward, the system will begin. All the clinics give this offer as they need to check the donor, in the event that she is well or she additionally has some infection. I trust this will help you to settle on a choice soon.

Hi Claire! Yes! I understand it been a very big problem for me too. When I was trying to get it on my own. It was 2 years ago when I decided to go for surrogacy due to my inability to conceive. I was not sure about to go for surrogacy or not. Well after my husband and I finally decided to attempt it. I tried finding an egg donor on my own. But it went pretty tough for me. So, on someone's suggestion, we didn't do it on our own. We went to Ukraine's capital Kiev and there was a clinic; which was as per our affordability and we first consulted their doctors. After getting relieved with the egg donation procedure we finally signed up with them and they took care of the whole procedure of finding an egg donor and the entire procedure for us. I think you should also try taking it into consideration without having doubts.
